Who I Am
Hi, I'm Xingxing Wu, a Grade 9 student who's into business, design, science, and technology. I like building things, making digital content, and getting involved in whatever's going on at school. I'm always picking up new skills and saying yes to opportunities that push me to grow, in and out of the classroom.
Favorite Shows
A mix of reality, drama, and comedy — anything with a good story or something to learn from.
Hobbies
Movies, games, being active, and hanging out with friends.

Working with my DECA team on a project for ICDC 2027, researching how a credit union can get more teenagers and young adults to sign up and actually stick with them as they grow up.
Collingwood Social Media Ambassators
JR Team
Make short-form videos for the school's social media, including student interviews, event tours, and promos. We meet every other Tuesday to brainstorm and plan what's next.
ISABC Future Prize Challenge
Student Leader
Represented Collingwood at the ISABC Future Prize Challenge and ended up winning the People's Favourite Award, voted on by peers.
Director of Marketing and Content
Collingwood Dance Club
Handle the First Five announcements, posters, and social media for the Collingwood Dance Club, promoting events, performances, and getting students involved.
Band
Member
Performed in concert and jazz band through school concerts, events, and performances, rehearsing regularly with the ensemble and preparing for upcoming performances and the 2027 Hawaii Band Tour.

Milestones
Certificates of Distinction: Gauss, AMC, BCC, Pythagoras
Scored in the top 25% across the AMC 8, Gauss 7/8, Beaver Computing Challenge, and the Pythagoras Math Contest. It was a cool way to see how my math and logic skills stack up against other students.
People's Choice Award
Our team won the People's Favourite Award at the ISABC Future Prize Challenge, voted on by students from independent schools all over BC. It meant a lot that other students liked our idea.
Canva Graphic Design Certification
Finished Canva Design School's Graphic Design course, which gave me a solid foundation in design and visual communication that I use all the time now.
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
Got my Pleasure Craft Operator Card from Transport Canada, so I'm certified to drive recreational power boats in Canadian waters.
DECA ICDC
Right now I'm working with my team toward qualifying for DECA ICDC 2027. It's a big goal and we're putting in the work to get there. (I just added it here for good luck 🤞)
Vex Robotics Competition Awards
My VEX team qualified for Provincials and we placed 8th at the Provincial Championship. Along the way we also won the judges award.
First Aid & Babysitting Certification
Got certified in first aid and babysitting, so I'm trained to handle emergencies and look after kids responsibly.
Community Service Recognition
Got recognized for logging 20+ volunteer hours across school events, first aid, and helping out at fundraisers.
Assistant Coach Certification, West Vancouver Yacht Club
Certified as an assistant coach at the West Vancouver Yacht Club after passing Cansail 4, so I can help teach and coach younger sailors.

I enjoy exploring new places and getting out of my usual routine. I like seeing new things, finding places I haven’t been before, and making memories along the way.
Staying Active
I’m like spending my free time doing different things. I ski during the winter, swim when it’s warm out, and play pickup games with friends whenever I can.

The moments I remember most are usually the simple ones, just spending time with the people who matter to me and enjoying being together.
Side Projects
I’m always messing around with new ideas and building things just for fun. I like trying different designs, starting random projects, and seeing what I can come up with.
